Lee Reynolds

Born in England in 1970 (but conceived in 69), Lee Reynolds spent his formative years in Wales and started collecting music at age 10 when he purchased some Sex Pistols vinyl with his paper route money. A year later, he got his first BMX bike, launching his other great obsession, and eventually landing him a place in the British BMX Hall of Fame.

In 1985, Lee moved outside of London, where he spent most of his time at skateparks and nightclubs before moving to San Diego in ’88. After numerous injuries, Lee switched his focus to music and design (another love), and in ’92 he started DJing and hosting chill out rooms at early SoCal raves and warehouse parties.

Fast forward 34 years and Papa Lee (as he is affectionately known) has released dozens of records as well as played thousands of events both nationally and internationally, including 14 years touring with Desert Hearts which he cofounded. Lee pulls his influences from a broad range of music and loves nothing more than eclectic, extended sets. When he’s not behind the decks, find his grey beard on the dance floor - looking for fun and spreading love.
